bartprim
Nexus forum, I am new to modding Skyrim and new to Nexus and it's NMM. I watched all the videos by Gopher to get an understanding of how they all flow through and downloaded my mods manually, checking that they were structured correctly, and then added them to NMM, via Gopher's instructions. The most important thing about these mods to me was that they added more into the game, be that by better battles, armor and weapons, quests etc. I am having a problem though. I have all the current versions of my mods, all the data files turned on, the latest version of Skyrim (runtime 1.9.32.0) etc but the game just crashes after the Bethesda logo. PLEASE HELP! I cannot figure out what to do! Without the mods, the game works. But with the mods, it crashes. Can someone please have a look at my mods and load order (configured by NMM) and give me some tips. My mods and load order are as follows: GameMode=Skyrim Skyrim.esm=1Update.esm=1Dragonborn.esm=1HearthFires.esm=1ApachiiHair.esm=1NPCs.esm=1Falskaar.esm=1SPIKE.esm=1moonpath.esm=1WARZONES - Civil Unrest.esm=1Bigger Badder Lich King Version 2.0.esp=1BonemoldExpanded.esp=1Convenient Horses.esp=1cultist armor.esp=1Death Knight´s of Skyrim.esp=1Descentintomadness2.esp=1Dragonbone Weapons.esp=1dD-Dragonborn-Dawnguard-EBT Patch.esp=1HeavyGlassArmor.esp=1Helgen Reborn.esp=1hothtrooper44_ArmorCompilation.esp=1Immersive Battles.esp=1Immersive Brigands.esp=1Immersive Dawnguard.esp=1Immersive Dragonborn.esp=1Immersive Factions.esp=1Immersive Mercenaries.esp=1Immersive Patrols.esp=1Immersive Travelers.esp=1Immersive Werewolves.esp=1Immersive Weapons.esp=1Improved Combat Sounds v2.2.esp=1moonpath_questdata.esp=1More Craftables.esp=1LightDaedric.esp=1Smithing 2.0.esp=1Unique Uniques.esp=1ValsCraftingMeltdownAlpha.esp=1WWW.esp=1WARZONES - Forsworn Variation.esp=1SkyUI.esp=1DeadlyMutilation.esp=1 Kind regards, Bartprim Edited October 9, 2013 by bartprim
BlackRampage
Did you run BOSS? Does it gives any errors / recommendations / etc? Did you run Tes5Edit? Does it stops at a certain point before finishing? I'm betting it does: "Immersive Dawnguard.esp" is likely dependent upon the Dawnguard DLC, which you do not have. Deactivate the plugin and see if you can start Skyrim. Edit: Welcome to the Nexus btw! Edited October 9, 2013 by BlackRampage
bartprim
Thanks BlackRampage. I noticed that after I had posted this. I have the Dawnguard DLC but I had forgotten to check it. It was still crashing after I had fixed it. I ran BOSS and TES5Edit and found that the problem was with the improved blood mod I had installed. I had the load order backwards, with the patch before the core. BOSS sorted that out for me and I thought I was all good! It didn't crash but whenever I created a game I would be stuck outside of the caravan in the intro. I assumed it was because Helgen Reborn was interfering so I disabled that and it worked fine! I am not sure if WARZONES is actually working yet, because I did not progress to the start of the civil war, but there weren't any battles before this point. Is that normal? Does anyone know? Guess I'll need to play to find out! Also, while we are on the topic of errors, I used a trainer to activate all skills so I could test out the smithing mods (which are working and look great! Thanks authors!). After resetting my level and skills back to their beginning values (except for smithing) my character no longer levels up... Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way around this or do I need to just suck it up and progress smithing normally and not run around with Lich King armor at the beginning? BlackRampage
I'd recommend simply starting a new game. While you can of course level smithing normally I personally find it's just a little too much like grinding (and not being able to play around with armor mods that require higher level smithing is quite annoying too). I therefore usually have a .txt file in my main Skyrim directory which contains the following: player.setav smithing 100player.addperk 000CB40Dplayer.addperk 0005218Eplayer.addperk 000CB40Fplayer.addperk 000CB414player.addperk 000CB411player.addperk 000CB40Eplayer.addperk 000CB410player.addperk 000CB412player.addperk 000CB413player.addperk 00052190 Copy the above to a .txt file, give it some appropriate name and save it to your main Skyrim directory. Then, when you're ingame, open the console and type "bat <insert name of the file here>" That's all. Have fun.

fifteenspades
As said before use BOSS also if you are using ASIS or any other SkyProc Patcher you need to update that before you can run the game If you don't know what those are or not sure you have them go to Data and look for Skyproc Patcher if it's not there you are good. Since you seem new to mods here's a tip-DO NOT USE Warzones no matter how much you want it, just NO!
