Converting Skyrim LE Saves to SRSE?

We made some saves in LE that worked in LE, with no mods installed except the DLC. (Not even SKSE or SkyUI.)

 

When we tried to copy, paste, and add those saves to our Skyrim SE Vortex Profiles, and then loaded those saves, we found we could not move our character while all NPC's were frozen.

 

Does anyone in the community know why?
