Unarmed combat isn't working

Hi there, so I recently got back into Skyrim modding and had my mod list pretty much complete for my new playthrough, but while doing some testing I've encountered a pretty big issue with my unarmed combat, and NPCs that use their fists. When I try to use my fists, my right click works, but my left click makes me skate forward. When NPCs try to attack using their fists, they T-Pose and just rocket away. All other forms of combat (swords, magic, daggers, etc.) seem to be working perfectly. I've tried re-installing all of my mods, and Nemesis, but nothing has worked. I've also tried clearing Nemesis' temp files/cache which didn't help either. I use Vortex as my mod manager, LOOT to sort, and of course Nemesis. I'm also using the downgrade patcher if that's relevant.

I'm at a loss, would really appreciate if someone could help. Thank you!

did you moved from FNIS to Nemesis or you had just Nemesis at the beginning ? When I tried Nemesis after FNIS, it broke a lot of things and you need a guide to properly switch from one to the other.

I had FNIS initially, yes. I installed it via Vortex, and uninstalled it via that too, following the instructions on the mod page. Do you think there might be something left over from it that could be causing this? If so, is there a way for me to fix it without starting over again?

So a little update, I just noticed my block animation unarmed is the same as my block animation while holding a sword. So, I decided to try left handing my sword and had the exact same skating issue. I believe this is the work of SkySA, but i'm not sure how to go about fixing it as the mod author of that has his nexus page posts turned off.
