TFE Posted October 13, 2013 Share Posted October 13, 2013 Would it be possible to combine Grimoas plantigrade feet for beast races (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/16976/?)with digitigrade khajiit (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/43833/?)?Basically getting the texture from the first one and combining it with the second one? I believe that the texture from one wont work on the other because the texture would have been designed to fit its own particular model. It would be like trying to put a square texture on a round shield. Please modders, correct me if I am wrong as I am still trying to improve my understanding of how different modding techniques work. That's why you see some outfits that have male/female retextures, cause there different models so they need different retextures.It's like putting the daedric boots texture on the scaled boots, sure there both boots but there different models. MurdermiesteR Posted October 14, 2013 Share Posted October 14, 2013 Not totally true. If the author took existing meshes and morphed them, the textures will work. That is why Book of Silence textures work on skimpy armor overhauls. If both authors used vanilla meshes, and didn't rewrap the uvw, then you can swap textures. Try it out. Open them both in Gimp to see if they look similar if you are weary of tinkering. Just remember that any changes you make can be undid instantly if you use NMM by simply uninstalling the mod and reinstalling it again.
