Hi all,
I've been having some random crashes which seem to be driver based (RX5700XT on older games).
Is there a best practice for the order in which software, drivers and firmware etc are installed?
I'm thinking of going Windows 11, currently on 10.
Any help or advice would be great.
Thanks.

What processor? I have seen some machines with 5 series AMD cards, and AMD processors, have some variety of conflict, that leads to a hard crash. Theoretically, AMD fixed it with a driver update, but, some I have played with, it just didn't matter, and the only solution was to change the vid card, or the proc.

Do you get any errors code or error messages at all from those crashes? I also run 5700XT but don't encounter that much issues on old games. I was just done playing Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas and tested Vampire The Masquerade with no issues. Perhaps using DDU will help isolate if its a GPU driver problem.
