It must be possible to edit distant LOD somehow. There's a number of mods which add stuff past the map boundaries.

Lod are generated and can be generated both by external programs and within CS. I have never seen anything applying to that you can actually edit the LOD from CS. We can even implement LOD in Morrowind with Enhanced Morrowind, by the way.  otherwise from that, I have no ideas about how to solve your issues here. I think we need more screenshots as you provided 2 screenies from the game itself. I do wanna see how it looks like in CS as well.

 

The thing is, when you edit stuff in CS, it can be conflicted by other mods later in game, which might be the case here? But we sure need more screenies, from different angles and also from CS.
