What I assume to be UV mapping problems in 3DS Max 2015

I am attempting a porting project using Fo4 assets, exporting them as fbx to import into a unity environment. I have had success so far with static objects, but anything with transparency does not appear in 3DS Max correctly. I can view the mesh with correct textures and materials in nifskope, but that software lacks the ability to export fbx. Originally, no material would load when importing a mesh into max, but I solved the problem initially with this: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/38289 .

 

I used BAE to extract the resources, I am using 3D Studio Max 2015, I have Niftools for 3DS max 3.8.0 (at least, that's what's credited on the download), and I have Nifskope 2.0.0.

Don't know if this will help you or not but kinggath's video series has been useful to me

 

 

 

 

I generally open the model up in nifskope and get the material and texture paths, then map them manually in Max via the material editor.

Thanks. This video was the primary tutorial I used to learn what settings and how to import. I've copied his settings, but I don't believe he covers this particular problem in this video.

Well, I don't know why you couldn't open the archive. I tried, everything opened up for me. This is a regular rar. This folder contains all currently existing rig's. But, in principle, it does not matter. I will give a link to the original zaz archive in the form in which I downloaded it from the nexus. At the moment, the author has already removed it from the nexus due to a change in the nexus policy last year.

I watched. You lost bones during the export. Take a closer look. The original installation is 4 times larger. I need bones, not meshes and guides. I need a rig just for the sake of the skeleton.Okay thank you. I don't want to distract you. Edited by South8028
