iEdge11 Posted August 10, 2022 Share Posted August 10, 2022 I'm not entirely sure what I did or how it happened. But in MO2 I'd click profiles, default, click transfer saves. Now, it should bring up a pop up window that shows all the characters on that profile. At least it used to. Now it gives me an error. "An error occurred: Wrong file format - expected F04_SAVEGAME got" like what? How do I fix this? And before you ask, it doesn't just occur with Default. I've tried to make other profiles, transfer saves. Same error message. FO4 does launch but if I try to load another game, it can't seem to find 47 other saves from 3 characters. Usually when I look up character saves, it gives me a list of characters I have. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
edgeburner Posted August 24, 2022 Share Posted August 24, 2022 (edited) I don't even bother with MO2 save issues anymore. I just create a back-up folder with all of my latest saved games, labeled accordingly, in their own folders. You should have a folder in you "my games/fallout 4/ MO saves." drive. I use that to transfer saves in and out from the back-up folder. Just make sure you label the folders correctly....meaning profiles/characters named correctly.
