Export an entire map into blender (SCOL)?

Hello,

I created a map/scene in the GECK. Just a simple one with a load of static corridors for example.

I want to export this into blender.

I have all the appropriate blender scripts and can import single objects and character NIFs however I want to import the collection of NIF statics.

I think the way I have done this in the past was using SCOLs

So I selected the corridor pieces and pressed CTRL + g to create a SCOL.

I named this SCOL and it appears in my object list under world objects scols. It also apparently references a scolname.NIF file.

I therefore want to export this scolname.NIF file into blender, but I can't find it.

I opened the meshs.bsa archive with FO3Archiver.jar to attempt to extract it, but I can't find in under scols.

Do you know where I can find this newly created scol so I can export it.

Also, is this the best way to export an entire 'map' into blender?

Many thanks,

I managed to export a fallout map into blender a few years ago but I didn't write down how I did it and I've forgotten the process, I think it involved SCOLs. I've done many google searches and lots of reading but I still haven't found a simple way to export the scene.

Ok after 3 days of trying I found out what the problem was. I had to create empty folders in the fallout/data folder.

Namely :

:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\Data\Meshes\SCOL

Once this has been created, the GECK puts the new scol into that folder.

This SCOL can then be exported into blender just like any other .nif file. This is good and enables any fallout "inside" scene make up only of statics to be exported into blender. This does not allow export of non-static objects though such as doors, chests, trees etc.

Also outdoor scenes it will not export the landscape, because this is genetrated from a height map.

If anyone knows how to convert the height map of the landscape into a textured mesh, that would be very useful.
