Issues post Vortex update: Skyrim not finding saved games

I'm not sure exactly what is causing my problems. I haven't used Vortex for a few days, and when I opened it today, I got a message regarding needing .NET, which I've had. But I figured since there are so many versions of .NET perhaps I needed whatever the new one was. I thought I had installed it, but I still can't get Vortex to work. I primarily use it for playing Skyrim SE (now AE), and it has worked flawlessly for me for years. However now it doesn't show the game in my dashboard, it disabled all the mods I'd installed. I went into the games section and it says it is managed, yet it does not reflect that via the dashboard. I went in an enabled all my mods, hoping that would fix the issue. I even added SKSE to the toolbar. However when I launch the game via SKSE it doesn't recognize any of my saved games and acts as if I am playing for the first time. I looked into perhaps stopping management of the game, but I see that it will delete all the mods I downloaded. I already had to start a new playthrough when Skyrim AE came out as most mods weren't compatible at that time, and I hate the idea of having to write down the mods I already have installed, or losing the means to continue with my current playthrough (Level 59).

I would appreciate any insight you can provide as to how I can correct the apparent disconnect between my existing saved games and Vortex. Also the Dashboard looks pretty different than what it once did. When I had the SKSE toolbar before I also had one for the game itself. When it used to work if I started SKSE, I would see "running" appear, followed by the same thing in the game toolbar. I think​ I managed to add the game to the toolbar, but it still doesn't "see" any of my saved games.

I am also having issues with FINIS, which I ended up removing.

Regarding saves, are you saying Vortex can't see your saves, the game can't see your saves or both?

 

Did you try the "All saved games" option at the main menu?

 

Did you use Game Specific saves in your profile?

 

The dashboard has been simplified so now it shows you tools, and you can start the game from the button in the top-left (on the artwork).

When I try to check saves in Vortex it finds nothing. When I open Skyrim, none of my saved games are found. It only lets me start a new game.

Perhaps you accidentally deleted or moved your save folder? Have you checked if you can find the files on your harddrive?

Also when you switch to a new profile, try "Deploy". Can't hurt; I usually do this to make sure all profile related pointers are updated.

I have verified that my save files are still on my hard drive and in the correct folder path.

I have only one profile as far as I know.

Does not matter; try Deploy anyway.

I can't find anything that says "Deploy". When I click on Profiles, the only options I can find for the one I have are:

 

Clone

Add Shortcut

Remove

Open Save Games (which gives me an empty screen if I click on it)

Init Collection

 

The Profile says I have saved games, 52 mods, Game settings: no

Activate a Profile and select the Mods tab.

Deploy is on the top toolbar. Click it.
