what sets the point of interaction with a large placeable object

Ive never made objects this big before that will be available in the workshop (ive made a few but not this big )

we are talking big prefab houses (one is 5 x 6 )...

So when i try to place it im inside the object ...hence cant place it...

Does the fact that i put the pivot dummy outside of the object make that difference ?(did it so one can have a better view of it while placing)...

Im sure i will figure it out at some point but would not really enjoy fragmenting scols and moving the dummy and having to remake the scol each time...

So what actually determines where the point of interaction is or distance from the object ?

I asked this 18months ago and no answer so I hope you figure it out. I did try all sorts of things (like pivot point etc), looked at all the game ini settings... Nada.

Fresh eyes on this is very welcome so good luck.

I think it has to do with the transform used in the object's record (static, activator, furniture... whatever it is).

The transform is used to configure the preview in the workshop menu, but I think it maybe also affects to the the spawn position of actual object and how much zoom you can use on it.

workshop_ShackPrefabComplete02 is the transform of the biggest object in the vanilla menu (the big shack prefab), I'd recommend using it on your base object and check if it makes any difference.

So far...

tried moving the pivot dummy back to the center....no change...

Moved the whole transform on the surface in nifskope....no change

Added snap points with origin at center and outwards towards the edge of the building ---no change.

Im guessing the interaction point is anchored to the transform origin node point at the center..

My workaround was to add snap points to the stairs of the building and in workshop mode i simply lay down a floor piece and walk with the building till it snaps to it.. which works.

Is it possible that there is a max interaction distance from the center of the object ?

@Zorkaz moving the origin snap point didnt make a difference

Below is a pic with the snap points i added and the moved origin for testing...

No matter what i do the interaction distance from the center remains the same

Looking at the nif in the ck preview there are no other visible nodes or markers ...
