UBdead93
So, skyrim keeps freezing even when I don't have have mods active. I deleted all my saves, so I ran through the game on a brand new save. I can make it all the way through my char creation, but as soon as Hadvar tells me to follow the captain to my death, I freeze. I've been using Razer game booster and my FPS has been roughly 50 during that scene, but w/o fail, I freeze up. I can still Ctrl Alt Delete out, but can't for the life of me figure out what is going on. Help?
Twitche21
Try closing Razer and any other programs that have overlay and try running it. Also if you have it on steam validate the game cache. Also, are you using an ENB? Edited November 5, 2013 by Twitche21
UBdead93
I closed most everything out but it still is freezing in that same spot. Am I missing a file maybe? It's never done this before, but I haven't done anything different.
Twitche21
You could be, try validating your game cache if you use steam. If you use an ENB,Go into enblocal.ini and change VideoMemorySizeMb= using this formula, "VRAM + RAM - 2048" the max is 10240.Since I have 2GB VRAM, and 8GB system RAM, I changed mine to 8192.This fixed a majority of my CTD's and crashes.
