What's the status on posting Fallout 3 Halo mods?

I need an admin to respond to me on this because I'm wondering, I have Fallout 3 mods for not just Halo but Section 8, Army of Two, Mass Effect, Metro 2033, Crysis and Battlefield 2142.

I got these mods off Fallout 3 underground many many years ago and I'm wondering if there would still be an issue posting it these mods to this site.

I only ask because I see a lot of Terminator and Warhammer 40K mods that have been up since like 2009. I heard some issues in the past with some of these mods mainly concerning the Halo ones so does anyone have any updated info about any of this stuff?

Your questions are well covered in the Terms and Policies under File Submission Guidelines.

If you didn't make it, you need permission from whomever did make it before you can upload the files.

It's that simple.

Yes, and no.

There are companies that allow players to use their content with other games. The Witcher games are a prime example.

And not all modding sites believe in those mods submitted being the intellectual work of the uploader. Some of them have agreements that if it's shared, it's public domain. Tho Nexus doesn't like most of those sites, so read below.

Tom. Regardless of whether or not the game company allows the use of ported assets. There is still a problem with the original mod author's permission. If you upload the mods here yourself, and they get reported as another user's assets, then.... there's going to be a mess.

It could range from being as simple as showing where the mod originally came from to prove whether or not permission is available and given.

If it's a mod from a site that is on the Nexus No-No list, the mod will be removed, and you will get a warning.

If it's a mod that requires the original author's permission, you will be given a fair amount of time to prove permission given, but until then, the mod will be hidden.

If the original author disputes it, then the mod will be hidden, and there could be some trouble.
