How to keep followers away from combat?

I have a bunch of followers installed (Recorder, Sofia, Inigo, etc) and they are great. I love to see them hanging around with all that funny chit-chat and commentaries on the events. But they totally destroy combat gameplay. They eliminate any thread instantly and I don't even get a chance to do anything. I don't want to get rid of them because they are so great. But I don't want them to participate in battles because with them I don't have any battles((

Is there any mod that makes followers vanish when the combat starts and reappear when it ends?

I'm using Nether's Follower Framework. Tried to set them to unaggressive and confidence to "cowardly"(or smth like that), it didn't change much. They just engage a bit later and that's it. On top of that some of the followers like M'rissi or Inigo can't be added to the framework so it shouldn't affect them anyway. Well technically you can add them, but it's stated on the respective mod's pages that you shouldn't.

So I guess I have to find another solution. In theory it sounds very simple: combat starts - everyone who's following disappears. Combat ends - everyone who's following appears. Maybe with the exception of people you have to defend for the quest. It's hard to believe that there isn't smth like that in almost 11 years of Skyrim modding(( Given how popular follower mods are and how unbalanced becomes the game with them.

Making follower really weak semi-works if you have only one. Then he won't deal much damage and will be quickly defeated allowing you to do things yourself.

But.

It will matter only when you get to higher levels because at the beginning of the game you (and your enemies) have starter equipment anyway.

It won't make that much difference if you have several followers. Enemies will focus on them, they will get in your way, they will do damage anyway, they will recover from bleedout while enemies fight with the rest and so on. I'm not sure about the last point, maybe NFF allows you to set them to recover after the fight ends, I don't remember. And even if you can it's just one thing and yet again it doesn't apply to followers that are not in the framework.
