Source light torches?

So ive been trying and trying and trying to figure out how to get light from torches to appear on grass, and honestly it has unearthed a ton of lighting bugs in skyrim. From the obvious issue of torches not lighting grass, to the more subtle issue of braziers not lighting walls outside off towns, even though torches will.

Im not going to try to fix all of these at the moment, but the torchlight on grass is a big game breaker for alot of people.Especially people who like to up the grass density for effect. There has to be a way to fix this. It is an issue with the game engine not reflecting 'point light' (light given off by torches and lanterns ect), but it does reflect 'source light' (light given off by the sun and exterior light source).

So what is the possibility of creating torches that give off source light? This would effectively resolve the issue, but im not sure if it is possible, or what would need to be done to do it.

I know it's an old post but I noticed that magic light, like mage-light or candle-light, DOES cast light on otherwise black grass at nights.

So, knowing this, maybe it's possible to create torches that call the a "magic-light" function?
