Finally put model on Nifskope. How do I texture it?

Hello once again people. I recently found out how to put my 3ds Max file on to Nifskope but it shows up like this.

How do I fix this up so that I can add Texture strings and Shader properties?

EDIT: Well i just tried coping branches from other *Nif. files that had the texture string. It looked fine but when I apply my custom *DDS. file (made on 3ds Max with the Texporter plug-in. It had a alpha channel and it looked perfectly normal) no change appeared in the render window. The model was still an ugly white. I have no more ideas to make it work.

It might just be that you dont have your render setup to look at the directory that has your textures.

In NifSkope go to the menu option "Render" then select "Settings". Then "add folder" and browse to your skyrim texture directory. Make sure your texture is in the correct folder.

Have you UV the texture in 3ds max?

You can upload the file somewhere if you want and i can take a look if still doesn't render.

I have set up the texture directory to a folder in my documents. does it have to be in the Skyrim data folder. Also I have made UV's in 3ds Max and i have even used the TExporter plug-in to make a *DDS. texture map to edit in Photoshop. One of my *DDS. files have been colored, the others still remain but i want to figure this out first.

Anyways, is there a place you want me to upload these files. It's so nice of you to offer to help me figure out my problem by trying the files out for your self. :D

Thanks again!

No problem, you'll need to upload somewhere which host files, I doubt nexus has anything other than actual mods. I use google drive personally, but whatever you like.

It does not have to be the skyrim data folder, as long as you specify to nikskope where it can find textures, and that the paths are correct. But ultimately you will want them in Skyrim data folder, after all that will be the end product for you final version.

All right. I've never heard of Google Drive but I trust Google. I have no idea if I'm sharing this right but here we go.

Well i somewhat expected that answer. I know that if you want to put it on CK you need to make a copy/ move the textures and meshes to the Skyrim data folder. I keep a folder of my textures and meshes in my documents so that if i mess up, i won't have to wait for a long search to load in the Skyrim data folder if i want to delete the mistake.
