need help with modding my game

i need help with getting the mods to work, idk if im missing something or if im just doing it wrong.

im seeing there is an order to this madness, and well its madness lol.

plz help i will upload a pic,

if i can get detailed instructions on this from a-z, if u can lets ack like i dont have the game installed so that i can see if i missed any steps.

so i know step 1 would be to install the game lol,

after that i may have to run game one time idk if i have to actually play it for a little or just run it till im at the main menu,

but i just ran it till at main menu. then started adding mods.

i was trying to figure out the orders and i think im 1/8 there with that but im not sure if any mod are conflicting with one another.

 

oh ya when i launch the game and hit play it crashes after about 8 seconds into the load screen

You are crashing on startup because your load order is wrong. Update.esm must ALWAYS come 2nd, just after Skyrim.esm.

 

So with all the Unofficial Patches, the first part of your load order should look like this:

Skyrim.esm

Update.esm

Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp

Dawnguard.esm

Unofficial Dawnguard Patch.esp

Hearthfires.esm

Unofficial Hearthfire Patch.esp

Dragonborn.esm

Unofficial Dragonborn Patch.esp

---other esm's---

---other esp's---

 

You can always use BOSS to automatically sort your load order: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6/?

 

There are some very useful guides on YouTube made by the amazing Gopher, especially aimed at beginning modders. I would highly recommend you to take a look at it:

i was reading that the unofficial patch had to be after all the esm files and before the esp, ok i will give that a try and then re-update. oh ya and um as for some of this stuff i dont seem to have it, the unofficial dawnguard patch.esp or do it ??

You're probably still missing a master file somewhere. Have you tried running BOSS?

ok thank you the vids are helping but more-so what helped was u linking me to the videos.

at this point i have unchecked everything set for the

Skyrim.esm

Update.esm

Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp

Dawnguard.esm

Unofficial Dawnguard Patch.esp

Hearthfires.esm

Unofficial Hearthfire Patch.esp

Dragonborn.esm

Unofficial Dragonborn Patch.esp

and the game seems to launch and stay up, i still have yet to actually play it or even make a character but im getting somewhere now so this is good. ill keep this updated till i have theses mod installed and working.

 

 

p.s. i didn't realize i needed to DL an unofficial patch for all the addons for the game thats y i was not seeing the files lol.

well i cant help much but grass on steroids is supposed to work w/ the flora mod so grab that if you want those to work.. its incredible once you set everything up man!!!

Just make sure you really read ALL of the descriptions when your adding mods for each mod because many of them run of each other.
