Thieves Guild mission types

I was wondering if anyone would to expand on the types of thieves guild missions. I wanted missions like where you have to sneak into a huge estates, evading mercenaries or hired guards, to steal a valuable item. Also I think high value targets are cool like heists which included heists on museums, art galleries, stores and government treasuries. The members always talk about crazy missions and stuff but is never actually in game. Maybe when becoming leader you can finally plan heists and take members with for specific jobs for ex. Delvin prepares horses, Vex brings lockpicks etc. So I think more missions like Goldenglow estate and Hard answers(in the questline) would be cool. Missions like when Sapphire stole from carriages on the road and such. Or Missions where you have to dress up as a guard to sneak in say... the Thalmor embassy! and steal something. I forgot which member talked about this but he said he had to purposely get locked up and break the target out of prison that is amazing. I mean what happened, Mercer thought of eye of falmer that is a big heist right there lets get creative. one more suggestion(oh god theres more!?) How about stealing on -wait for it- ships! yeah... badass right? Missions like these I think would enhance the thieves guild immensely and also give more variety. I know this is a massive project and most likely will not happen because most of this is not possible probably but I'm not a modder but this would be the greatest expansion mod of all time! and hey the blades got better through modding lets show the sneaky types some love.

Well.... I have been thinking these things too (in fact I'm trying to make a driveable boat mod using the Asteria mod scripts)! I really hated how the skyrim TG was just an organised marauder group while the oblivion TG was very theif-y and seemed like a robinhood sorta thing.

I would love to have those extra jobs you mentioned (like the lockpicking/jail break one) and if there were more special well-there-was-this-one-time sorta jobs to do that required skill to accomplish. I also liked the idea of creating unique missions that the player sets up (maybe like the GTA V heist missions) and uses the members at their disposal to accomplish the mission with different choices leading to various results.

 

Anyway though I was planning on actually starting this sorta thing but I really want to embark on other overhauls and big projects (i.e. this Black hourse courier, a DB overhaul, my ship mod, etc.). Though if any does in fact want to start this huge project I am willing to help in one way or another!

Started working on something like this but I can't promise it to be perfect and bug free, just stay tuned for updates of my project on two forums (this one and another one: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1283853-better-theft-in-skyrim-bigger-heists-black-market-independent-thefts/). Suggest any ideas you think of as I will be taking most of my ideas from the community so I can see how people want this mod made, thanks!
