Failing the Main Quest

So I've run into a very curious problem in my game, in that, during my escape from Helgen with Ralof, after fighting the torturers, I failed . . . Unbound. All of my objectives are have the rex X of failure, including looting Gunnar's body, and Ralof won't move past the torture room. I tried teleporting him to Riverwood, but he just stands where ever you place him. I can't fix it with console commands (I've tried SetStage, SetStageCompleted, ResetQuest, CompleteQuest) and I don't know any other way to fix it. If anyone could shed some light on the issue, that would be greatly appreciated.

 

Note: I have quite a few mods installed, but the only one that alters stuff like that is Civil War Overhaul, and I'm pretty sure Unbound doesn't fail from that alone.

Skyrim doesn't take well to mods until after Helgen.

I suggest to revert to Vanilla Skyrim (because Mods like CWO cannot be successfully deactivated) and then restart with no mods at all until exiting Helgen.

At that point, I strongly suggest adding mods just one at a time and testing in game, you you will know which mod is involved if there is a problem.

 

Or, you could try using an alternate start mod, then starting a new game, in order to circumvent Helgen altogether.
