HEAD GLITCH( Invisible head only but i can see rest )

Ok so i was playing skyrim and i downloaded a mod called, Black Sacrament, which is some nice assassins armors that includes a stuff that you can wear multiple items in the head and what not, so i had my Kriosis mask and an BSA cowl

and so i went in to store my stuff in a chest and i think i removed the mask then did some stuff witth eh cowl and then i noticed i had no head but my rest of my body was just fine, at that moment i didnt care that much then when i tried fixing it nothing worked, i did sexchange on my character, i used some invisibility spells, or reloaded the game, and i cant fix it with the saves because i dont have anything prior when the bug appeared, i also havent used the Ethernal shout because i dont have it. SO PLEASE IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME please do so

Today I experienced the same glitch. This is not the infamous "TIM" glitch that occurs when you are decapitated in "immortal" mode (and I never used it).

In this case the head mesh is invisible (you can see through the neck in the rest of the body).

To be honest with a Dragon Priest mask the effect is quite epic. :laugh:

 

I tried every solution I was able to find via google:

 

- unequip all items

- uninstall some mods

- quick save/load

- restart the game

- use race menu via console

 

Nothing worked. Strange enough is that a new game does not have this glitch. It is something wrong in the saved game file. Unfortunately I made no backup of my game (I'm sure yesterday everything was OK).

 

As the last chance I tried this.

I dropped in a chest everything but the items quest (you know it is not possible). Opened the console and typed "unequipall".

The head is now visible and all the quest items are still in my inventory!

If blackbarts1911's answer didn't work for you, try equipping all items and then putt on a dragon priest mask. I did so invisible but I don't know if that is required, but it worked for me.

This solution worked for me, and I'm so very glad.

For what it's worth, I also have BSA installed.

Just open console type "showracemenu" go to "race" click on argonian and click nord back if you are one. Then tadaa! Your're back.

Revive/Reset targeted NPC or object

Can be used to reset an NPCs reference/revive dead NPCs. When used on containers, it acts like resetinventory. When used on objects, it will reset them to their original positions and states

Recycle actor did not change anything - reset my pose but I am still headless.

showracemenu and change to argonian - now I am a headless argonian.

The dragonmask didn't help me.

I still have to try the other things mentioned.

This fixed it for me. I just had to re-equip all my stuff. Hope this works for others with this issue
