[SSE] Dragonborn's family / background story / an SE version of "family ties"

Hey y'all, I'm looking for one of three things

either

- an SE port of the LL mod "Family Ties"

or

- someone who would be interested in this idea and picking it up with full creative control

OR

- a team of modders who would want to help write/script/design a large mod which adds MULTIPLE custom voiced NPCs (AI generated and how siblings speak / argue) and possibly an overhaul/replacement to the intro quest (via alternate start maybe?)

specifically what I have in mind (if I have to make the mod):

- custom voiced followers such as brother, sister, cousin, or twin (I have no idea how to make an NPC that mirrors the player appearance but I've seen it done on Skyrim Unhinged)

- a range of options to choose from to fit the multiple races of skyrim

- hoping to script the starts with dialogue and short intro quests, such as;

- farmer family -- you start at a family owned farm, you and your sibling(s) go to the city to buy supplies, return and find you've been orphaned by a bandit attack

- stolen at birth -- you are recognized by someone who leads you to learn that you were kidnapped from a noble family -- possibly later learn you're Elisif's sister or brother?

- siblings from Cyrodil -- you and your brother and/or sister just arrived at the solitude docks (could be an LOTD start or just a start for new adventurers)

- etc. I have more ideas but they look dumb/messy/unfinished when I type them out, lol.

more thoughts/questions:

- I'm torn between the idea of editing vanilla NPC/locations to have relative relationships/ownership, but that risks a lot of compatibility issues. Are custom or vanilla preferred by the people reading this? There's a lot of locations that could be utilized with this, such as ruined farmhouses, unmarked locations, etc, but I'm just not sure yet which would be better...

- Would you guys rather something super short and lightweight like how Alternate Start already is, with just custom NPCs that are voiced to interact uniquely with the dragonborn, or would you appreciate a full intro (5 minutes maximum) with custom dialogue and scenarios that lead the player to main quests?

I've always wanted something that was pretty in-depth and had some real character development for roleplay purposes. Having connections to NPC characters that weren't tided solely to Skyrim content. Being a prisoner thing Bethesda has over done and there's never any real explanation on how you got into your situation. Only that you crossed the border illegeally...but that's not much to go on for me.

I've actually been writing quiet a bit of the background. However, I had an idea where you could start the game off as a child and it would take place many years before Skyrim's story takes place. So far it's been for personal use/character growth, story and roleplay, but my character starts out in the city of Kvatch and has a twin sister. Mother and Father are the Count of Kvatch which takes place prior to the Great War. After the city is attacked and parents are killed, my character spends most of his life searching for his twin sister as they were separated during the attack.

It's a work in progress and I been writing it quite a bit with idea of character development. I'm going to be getting in touch with Beyond Skyrim and seeing how I could use assets to create an alternate start that fits with my character's storyline.

Anyone who remembers the start of the movie "Conan the Barbarian" might be interested in an option being added to "Live another Life" that would have the opening scene be a battle between the Dragonborn and some antagonist from the game (dragon, imperials, bandits, etc) where some number of family members are killed. The choices of god, class, birth sign, and starting equipment could be worked into the battle, resulting in some number of specific family members surviving into the game.

I'm a passable writer and good at creating characters + backgrounds...I can't help with the actual scripting / mod creation other than making simple followers in the CK though. I even know how to add voices - the problem would be where these 'family' npcs should be placed. I've thought about this concept a lot myself. You could have an MCM menu to spawn certain NPCs and decide where they will spawn? That would require scripting and knowledge of how to create an MCM in the first place, though...(which I don't have :( ).

My idea for this would be to use the vanilla houses - I'm sure many people use mod added houses or hearthfire houses instead anyway...an option to choose which vanilla house your 'family' spawns in would be preferable. I'd very likely always choose Proudspire in Solitude as my family's home. That would require fully upgrading the vanilla homes to have all the furniture / etc when one is selected, though.

There could be a way to name the npc(s) in the MCM before you spawn them. That way, you could have them namable by the player. If the player wants to be raised by their Uncle Steve, for example - they would just type in "Uncle Steve" as the npc name then click an option when they are ready for him to spawn wherever he's going to spawn. Would that even be possible with an MCM? I know this mod spawns npcs using an MCM (without custom genetics / naming):
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/4560

OR you could have a FOMOD installer that lets the player choose the races and genetics (hair color / eye color / skin tone / fur color / etc) of their parent(s), guardian(s), cousin(s), sibling(s), etc...before even entering the game? Then they would just need to rename the npc(s) in the MCM and spawn them in to whichever vanilla house they want to use. Idk about voicing them, though - using text to speech mods is kind of a controversial topic at the moment...but it would be really cool to have a mother npc that actually comments on your adventures: "My son...a thief? Where did I go wrong!?" "Going on another adventure? Remember to pack clean underwear!" etc.

That's something I thought about as well - it would be awesome for roleplay purposes if your family lived in Helgen and were killed by Alduin. More reason to hate him and actual motivation to kick his butt lol. I have trouble actually hating the villains in Skyrim - other than Harkon...he put his family through some stuff. :/ Alduin is just doing what is in his nature though - depending on how you interpret the lore. Same for Miraak.
