MCM Does not work on my Main save

Hi everyone,

 

As the title states the MCM does not work on my main save. It will look like this: https://pasteboard.co/efLTMXJqTozg.png

On the save where it is broken, I admit that I accidentally opened the Bethesda Mods menu. I know this breaks everything. I have about 100 hours into this save, and I'm not very interested in totally restarting just to get some menus to work. The game otherwise runs fine, and I believe every mod is working as intended. Still, I'd just like to have it working.

I've tried reinstalling SkyUI and forcing the MCM to update in the command console. The issue seems to be totally baked into the save. I am playing Skyrim SE. Everything is up to date according to Vortex.

I'm not sure if there is anything else I could try doing, but any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Alright DEFINITELY do more research then I did cause I probably have caused problems I do not know of yet BUT I found a way that if it DOESN'T cause problems got MINE working again FOR NOW. get ReSaver and go to your save delete all script instances, why I say DO MORE RESEARCH I was dumb and was like "Eh can just load a earlier save file" now that I think about it there is no way I know what is going to happen in the future but WE SHALL SEE.

 

So I do stress ask others on the ReSaver page how dangerous this is and the possible problems that may arise from doing this but it did get my MCM working.

Edit: so it bugs some quests so that is a problem with this approach so I will advise checking it out more and I will check around to see what files to delete instead

 

Edit 2: So figured out a way that seems to not bug quests still using resaver. Go to either plugins (full) or (lite) depending if skyui is a lite or full mod for you find "SkyUI_SE.esp" click it so a menu pops up go to "SKI_ConfigManager" in the menu that is there, click it, will bring you to the file (highlighted) on the left and delete the file. save as a NEW Save don't override it just in case you did something wrong. will also advise going to "clean" at the top and clearing unattached instances and unattached elements.
