Main character idles - general question

Hi all

Just a kind of general question rather than a technical query. In play, in 1st person view, I frequently see my character go through idles like crossing arms, touching hair, etc. But in 3rd person view she just stands like a dummy, unmoving. I find it weird the idles don't show in 3rd person. Now: I honestly cannot recall if the vanilla Skyrim has these 1st person idles, or if they may be an introduction by a mod like: UNPB Body & No-Maam, CBBE, a skeleton, FNIS, or New Animations, (or similar).

So the point of my question is: does Vanilla Skyrim have idles? And am I seeing them? Or is this an introduction by a mod? And if it is would anyone know which it is? And more generally, advice on fixing it to seeing them in third person would be handy. I'm pretty solid with handling and using mods but this is more like a "Do'h" question than a technical query and a pointer would by handy. It might help others with a similar question, too.

Elderly & confused,

Clive

PS - many thanks to the great mod contributions from folks here!

No, FNIS doesn't do anything for 1st person, and to the best of my knowlegde there is no mod adding new animations to 1st. So it's all vanilla.

1st and 3rd person are totally unrelated. And there are technical reasons why you don't see similar animations in 3rd. 1st person is Player only. So the behavior files can define all nice kind of "intermission" animations for the player only as well. 3rd person is for both player and NPC. But many of the NPC idles (like crossing arms) are activated by AI packages, conditions, scenes, scripts, which you all don't have for the player. Probably it would be posible to define more idles for the player 3rd person only, but that would also blow up the behaviors and make them more complicated.
