Like planting mint together with radishes, cabbages and cauliflower or carrots and leeks/onions/garlic together to improve yields (in real gardening, they make each other more resistent to pests). Native Americans traditionally plant the "three sisters" together to improve yields and soil conditions: squash, corn and beans. I think it would be an interesting change to the game to add things like which crops are planted near each other or together in batches.
