Requesting the perfect home

Hello and merry christmas to all the modders on here! (Apologies in advance for any broken english, I'm a Nord)

I've played Skyrim for several hundred hours and tried dozens of diffferent house mods- including Hearthfire. Many were too big or unrealistic, others just didn't feel quite right.

I'm looking for a kind of simple, practical hideout/abode/house, hidden somewhere in the snowier, uncharted regions of Skyrim, although not TOO hidden. I'd imagine it to have a hunter/bounty hunter/realistic, cosy, quaint feel to it, with a bed, a fireplace and cooking apparatus, some alchemic stuff, storage, a map and general furniture.

One idea I have in my mind is a two-story cabin with the basement area under the snow. The upper level would have the living room/kitchen, and the lower one would be the place for a bedroom/alchemical/tactical stuff.

I like my Skyrim realistic-ish, so definetely no anime/ridiculous/you get the drift-stuff.

If someone were to to this, you would make my Christmas.

Cheers, and thank you so much in advance! :D

Hi,

did you try Harbinger Retreat?

it is not so hidden, well it is not hidden at all, but it just I was looking for: simple, with auto sorting containers, and with v1.0 lots of racks & mannequins to display all my collected items!!!

it of course gathers all crafting station types...

Try it, envoy it, love it!

Eh, that's pretty far from what I'm looking for, but thanks for the tip! I don't like the whole 500-mannequins-and-weapon-plaques-everywhere look, not a big fan of mannequins at all :p It's also rather large, and as you said, definetely not secluded

Hey there! I might be able to do this for ya but unfortunate, I'm leaving today for my Christmas break. But I will be more then happy to work on it when I return :)

That would be awesome, I can wait

Edit: The character I'm going to use the home for is a Stormcloak, so a Stormcloak banner or two would be fitting

Have you tried Frostflake Top? It's in the snowy areas of Skyrim and is a very cozy and realistic home

That one wasn't bad, but too centrally located, a bit too large and not very hidden. I also don't like the gardening stuff on the inside and the enchanting table. The outpost is neat though!

Alternative design idea: Only a trapdoor above the surface, with the two stories under the snow.

As for location, I like the snowy mountain wilderness in the extreme south bordering Cyrodiil, around Bloodlet Throne

Frostflake Top is really nice, I can't resist trying it.

jack2mata: ok, but it's pretty cool to expose collected item rather than stock them in chests... or you're not a collector?

nice face by the way...

Opinions :)
