This command makes NPC a follower but they only follow for a minute or so. Is there any way to make them keep following the player?

Would createactorfullcopy work? As the copy has no AI packages.

Example for follower -

Click Chorrol Guard > createactorfullcopy > addscriptpackage 9828a > Chorrol guard follower

I just want an ultra lightweight quick method of getting a follower without needing to use a mod or use generic guild followers.

The console command addscriptpackage 9828a works best as a simple method to move low processing NPCs (with a number of limitations to it's utility). I have used it to move bandit/marauder dogs to a cell of my choosing, and before I learned how to add dialogue to female Dremora it was the only way to get them into the cells I wanted them.

In the case of female Dremora, now that they have dialogue I just use my go to for all things moving NPCs about ... Fluffy Follower Frill. Works great on any NPCs that have a dialogue available.

Createfullactorcopy duplicates the NPC but not any of their AI packages, so when you don't want them just standing doing absolutely nothing you need to console an AI command onto them. To limited for my tastes.

That's actually what I want. I don't need a companion share or check stats config menu etc, I just need a guard to come with me for a simple dungeon crawl. If I use the createfullactorcopy wlll that make the duplicate keep following me as they have no AI packages to interupt it? Can't check atm.
