Periodically freezes issue.

Good day members of that respectable mod-making society.

 

At first I'm apologize for my disastrous breaking english.

 

So my problem is that I have some periodically freezes in game. Usual I have very stable 60 FPS, especially indoor, but periodically it begin freezing, I assume it cuase by loading new cell or some other terrain textures (happens way othen when outside). Now I clearly can see how mipmap loads instats to full res texture without any intermediate texture. I belive it cuse periodically freezes and realy ruins gameplay, cuz' it happens pretty often when outside.

 

So I wonder if there any way to make LOD more smoother, like not instatntly load whole cell or texture but with mipmap or something.

I'd seen some ini settings with primary and secomdary LOD and values and other configs, so I believe there is way to make it load like in 4 or 5 step mipmap and then to full texture while getting closer to it.

 

Like on 400 feet distane it load 1\8 of origin texture (ore even 1\16, 1\32), on 200 feet - 1\4... and so it to full texture.

 

So is it real?

And, by the way, I'd guided with S.T.E.P. about all perfomance tweaks and stabilites features. Game is realy stable running, non CTD, non Fatal freeznig, just periodically freezes while playing, realy annoying.

My it be, that papyrus overload cuase periodically freezes?

I don't recognize a lot of your ini settings (some values are way out there) but with all those mods I think script overload is a good guess. How long does it "freeze" for? If its just a long stutter, try giving the scripts some extra time and see if the symptoms change:

EDIT: (hit Post by accident) Or more. See if it changes your symtoms and inch it up a bit if it helps.
But, with all those mods (I imagine you also have an ENB from some ini settings), the mods (textures/replacers) not in your mod list, and more-than-maxed out ini settings, this could be just a bunch of little things adding up. Good job on getting it to run stably, but backing off on some settings may tell you where the problems lie. For instance, draw distances determine when textures/mipmaps/LOD textures are used. Your draw distances are way beyond normal game values and it will be hard to isolate the mipmap issues. Not sure what to recommend. For instance, you could try dropping a default [TerrainManager] block back in your SkyrimPrefs.ini and see how that affects your mipmap issue. You really need to find texture or LOD texture mods that have Forum discussions and see what the mod authors talk about. You might also ask in the Mod Troubleshooting forum, some mod authors hang around in there. There's also some good advice over on the S.T.E.P. forums. Google may be your best friend here.

Thx everyone for help.

 

Most of INI setting is allow me to use multicore system with distributed load for ich core. It's actually some of most important key to stability.

 

So I'd got some experemtnts, and can tell, that with defalut ultra setting with new maked INI files by Skyrim itself is brilliant fast, I think it give me much more than 60 fps, I just limited it to 60. Freezing gone, but, unfortunately Ultra setting like ten times worse of mine.

 

So I'd back INI setting and increase Papyrus to:

 

fUpdateBudgetMS=5.5
fExtraTaskletBudgetMS=5.5
...and it begin running much smoother, but still have like four time less freezeing. Eny increasing beyond 5.5 had non effect.
Those [TerrainManager] values actually like 50% out of it's influence zone to my perfomance, cuz' I'd tried to increase it double time and it cause absolutely no effect on performance.
The reason I'd made so heavy modded game is that I'd done origin Skyrim many times, and even skyrim with mid mod lvl many times and decided to moded it like most-hardcore-immersive-game-ever, and I actualy achived it. But now I need some polish it.

P.S. "How long does it "freeze" for?" - it's freeze about 1-2 secs, like FPS fall to 4-8 for 1-2 secs, then it's immediately rise to 60 FPS. It happens about every minute, some time often. In door it alsmost never huppens.

Well, the experiment with default ini files shows that some setting(s) are causing the "freezes". I would try it again with only ONE default ini, either Skyrim.ini or SkyrimPrefs.ini. That may show you which one has the "freeze" settings.

 

You know, its suspicious that the problem happens every 60 minutes or so. I've never actually tested this, but I understand that "fAutosaveEveryXMins=60.0000" does not disable autosaves; it needs to be zero, ie, "fAutosaveEveryXMins=0". You could try it and see.
