I just have seen this little Beta Mod for a Star Trek Phaser Pistol, now i can't get this Idea out of my Head...

Whatever maybe some experienced and bored to death Modder will catch on :biggrin:

 

 

I think the Star Trek Weapons just look cool and there are so many diffrent Weapons in the Series that we could easily get a full Range of Weapons for every possible Use.

you dont need to read any further because what comes now will clearly never happen ^^

 

next would be:

- Clothing (Starfleet Uniforms, Klingon Armor, Jem Hadar? Hirogen? Borg?)

- Then maybe a replacements for the Ghouls and Super Mutants (GORN!!!) that are more Trek like

- Some Trek Side Quests, maybe like a crazy Klingon who terrorizes a Town, a crashed shuttle, things like that.

- Enclave replaced by Cardassians or even the Dominion?

- The Humans in the Game changed to a not yet seen Alien Race (but still Human, think Vulcans, Bajorans... little something on the nose/ears 6 fingers etc.)

- BoS is the Planetary Defence Force, no big changes here but the name

- finally you start as a Starfleet Officer on your Space Ship who beams down, your Squad gets Killed, Ship destroyed or it cant beam you up becaus of radiation interference....

- Maybe the Planet was not nuked but bombed from Space by an Invasion Force who landed and then became the *Enclave replacement* and you watch that live from the Bridge or through a Window... after the first Quest you get dragged into a Vault -> 5 or 10 years later you get out, nobody is searching for you, Megaton, Rivet City etc. got build by the Survivors... and so on

 

 

 

 

 

well but a good looking and authentic working Phaser Rifle would be nice for the start ;-)

Been wanting to do this sort for a while now, but no one with moddeling skill and texture skill seems willing to help, except for maybe Nimrod but he's aparently so busy with college and real life stuff that it's gonna september before he can even go back to his late TNG phaser and early DS9/Voyager uniform mod.

 

been considering doing a mod called "Culture Shock" as not so much a total conversion, though considering going in that direction eventually, but just for the start add in all the weapons and such as new items and races rather than as replacers.

 

also a Pre-war money like item for gold pressed latinum bars and so forth.

A megaton like town but it be DS9, complete with Promenade, Habitat ring, and Ops,

First Contact/dominion war era uniforms

 

new races with face textures and meshes to look like specific characters.

 

allot of these could actually be done by using trek based mods from other games and converting the meshes' textures over to .nif and .dds files.

 

that pic of kirk with the TOS phaser rifle doesn't quite fit with the pic of Ezri and the TR116, though I'd like both a TR116 and an Ezri npc, (preferably compatible with one of the many sex mods out there too ;) )

 

if I knew how to model, I've tried learning for 10 years and never could make heads or tails of it all, I would be contributing already.

A good number of the girls in the wasteland have short hair, and her breasts aren't any smaller than the average female F03 character, not sure if it's the starfleet uniform or what but she seemed pretty well endowed when she was captured by the breen with worf, as well as when she was a baseball player. but her face would have to be custom made as a unique mesh/texture in order to do her, or the rest of the cast for that matter, justice.

 

just look at some of the Celebrity npc mods they have over at TES nexus, like Amidala(a stunning Natalie Portman, looking more like her regular self than the geisha queen of naboo)

 

but yeah, Phaser rifles would be easy enough to do, and have them be the first contact style and critical kills leave a small stain on the floor (much like wrath of khan or DS9).

 

batleth's would be possibly even more simple, the 2 handed weapon animations would be pretty much perfect for em, a modified Plasma pistol with a new mesh could work as a Klingon disruptor.

 

Klingons could be made by altering the human face mesh and giving it a bumpy forehead, maybe find a way to make the blood pinkish-purple like in Undiscovered country, give em the voices of the Super mutants :P or if possible rip some sounds from Elite Force II.

 

the klingon uniform would be a bit trickier.

 

but yeah, all we need is a decent mesh or two to make it work, as well as a reloading animation for when Phaser rifles run out of juice, though they never really give much of an idea of the capacity of them, but it's definitely less than what allot of the RPG books give and isn't much more than a modern assault rifle, of 30-40 shots before reloading. multiple Phaser packs are given to sisko alone during the AR-558 fight, though it turned out they either didn't need them, or they reloaded off screen while the camera was focusing on other people, still the phaser rifles at AR-558 were the crappy TNG style rifles, not the First Contact/Voyager style ones. which weren't used much during the dominion war for some stupid reason, if a ship like Voyager could be equipped with em before the war.
