All right, so I've been playing oblivion again a lot recently, and I was reminded of the vampire dreams. I think they're awesome, and was wondering if someone could make a mod for Skyrim, where when you wake up, vampire or not, there would be a little pop-up telling you about your dream, maybe with some effects like you get from the shrines, like a bonus to something if you had a good dream, and a decrease in something for a bad dream. Alternatively, if someone wants to make a mod where you could live through your dreams, even better.

Not a bad idea. And the dream you 'lived' through would be tied to a quest. Failing the quest (possibly due to time constraints) would result in the negative effects, whereas completing the quest would result in the positive effects. Doing special things can result in special blessing and so forth. I imagine the dreams would be something like The Mind of Madness quest.

I remember the dreams in Daggerfall. There would be a cutscene for the dream after you were infected and went to sleep. Although a video probably wouldn't be possible, a text box like in Morrowind or Oblivion would be.
The Lycanthropy dream was pretty funny.

Trying to give trainwiz's modder's resource for a dreaming mod more attention. It has pretty much the skeleton of what a dreaming mod would need, plus a document with the ideas he had!

Hm, it would be cool to have *New* vampire dreams instead of just rehashing the old ones from Oblivion. actually why not add general dreams to randomly happen when you sleep. not every single time mind, but sometimes you have Weird dreams, pleasant dreams, Nightmares on occasion, and they could potentially give a small buff or debuff to your stats and or skills.
