Stratovariusftw
So I've been playing around with mods and generally my FPS is pretty decent, though at some points I drop, specifically in Whiterun with TAVA (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19799/?) installed. When I check what my CPU and GPU is doing, I can't help but get a bit confused. As you can se by this http://imgur.com/RumQf3s screenshot, my GPU is only working at max 63%, while my CPU is barely using half of what it can give, yet fps is quite a bit below 60. How can this be? gnomie45
I think the link is bad, but from what you said in the title and all, for it to get no higher than 40 fps, unless you have an fps limiter, you might be having power supply issues, or the performance monitor you are using isn't giving the correct information. Don't go out and buy a new power supply just yet though, because I might be wrong, and someone else may come along with a different solution to this issue. gnomie45
I can't believe I almost forgot this, but you might be bottlenecked by your hard drive. Your hard drive might be having trouble getting the information to your video card's ram. That or your video card's memory bandwidth may be limiting you. Could you list your specs? That'll help everyone narrow it down.
