Junglemaster
bows and quivers seem to float waaay of my characters back when I wear ancient nord armor. All other armors including mods look pretty normal with bows. Is there fix for this, its really starting to annoy me!
ghosu
1) Unpack the attached archive to ...\Skyrim\data\ (so the folder structure should be ...\skyrim\data\meshes\weapons\draugr\draugrarrow.nif) 2) Download Nifskope http://sourceforge.net/projects/niftools/files/nifskope/1.1.3/nifskope-1.1.3.36ebfdd-windows.exe/download 3) Open the .nif with NifSkope, click on 0 BSFadeNode, down below in the block detail window you can adjust the position (translation, z axis value should be the correct one), afterwards rightclick on 0 BSFadeNode and TRANSFORM => APPLY to set the new coordinates as default. Save and done, to undo the whole thing just delete the edited .nif http://666kb.com/i/cks0tix7gxl57yp4e.jpg
Junglemaster
This happens with all quivers and bows while wearing the ancient nord armor cuirass. The nord arrows arent the problem the armor is Edited January 8, 2014 by Junglemaster
ghosu
Ah well, that needs a mesh fix then to upscale the back area to fill the empty space...can't do that atm since i'm making a modding break, my modding rig rests in the basement. Though, anyone with 3dsMax or Blender with nif plugin could do that so good luck on that. greetings Edited January 8, 2014 by ghosu
Junglemaster
is there a way to bring the bow or quiver closer, instead of expanding the armor. I have the nif plugin for 3ds max and nifscope.
ghosu
In fact you have to do the same thing i explained in my first posting with each single quiver of the game. But that will lead to clipping errors using other armors/cloths. Changing the bow position while sheathed will affect the position when equipped as well since it's the same model so that wouldn't be wise. Maybe there is a mod around, that adjust's the bow's and quiver's bone (that is a node in the skeleton that is linked to the item's position), moves it further to the body - but as mentioned before: clipping issues with other armor. Junglemaster
there is a mod around, but it creates clipping issues with some other armors like u said. How exactly does the armor affect the positon of the bow and quiver. arent those fixed in place by the skeleton.sry if Im asking stupid questions but I dont have much modding experience. ghosu
What i meant is when you move the quiver or bow bone (yellow)... http://666kb.com/i/cksu22yaqb05pfpeq.jpg ... of the original skeleton the weapon's position will fit your ancient armor, but since this change will affect all other bow/quiver meshes as well, the ones that just were perfect before the edit will move closer to the body as well => possibly clipping issues with other armors. Junglemaster
yes I understand that, but if the position of the quiver and bow is set by the skeleton, why does the nord armor move it backwards?
ghosu
Possibly the nordic armor is just flatter in the back area compared to other armors so the distance seems bigger - can't check it ingame since my modding rig rests in the basement :D Edited January 8, 2014 by ghosu
