Lynnmcd
Hi everyone, I am encountering something strange with smithing locks: when I go to create a lock it tells me that the lock needs 1 iron and 1 copper ingot. I actually found a copper ingot on a merchant and I thought i was golden but I still wasn't able to create it. I even found copper ore deposits in the hills south of Dragon Bridge! But...when I look in my inventory I only see corundum ore and ingots which the game is really supposed to use. Something is mixed up! I use Crafting Overhaul and I'm wondering if this is causing a problem...anyone else experience this? Thanks!
Deleted2993601User
That is definitely from a mod because there's no such thing as copper ingots or even copper ore in Skyrim. Corundum also has nothing to do with copper whatsoever so that is mildly confusing. Consulting the UESP, we find that to smith a lock, you'd need one (1) iron ingot and one (1) corundum ingot. gsvjv
There is an option in Complete Crafting Overhaul "Corundum to Copper"... Regardless you can make copper ore from Corundum and Iron
