So I had those just about forever and I kept telling myself, "hey its not the real world but a computer representaion of the real world, this is probably just suppoed to represent wet dirt"

 

So it hasnt bothered me all that much.

 

But as I a mass hours in the game I realize its not supposed to be like that.

Others landscape in pics is full of vegeation everywhere, especially with mods.

 

Also if I walk past the borders of the intended game space all the ground turns into "icy puddles looking" spaces like I have some next to the raod to diamond city

So I understand its blank ground texture.

 

Questions for the Gurus here:

 

a) Is this normal or did one of my likely mods cause this.

b) Is there an enviromental mod I could DL that would cover the ground and likely gte rid of these spots in the main game space?

 

I do not observe these in the project mojave ground and I have not been to Far Harbor or Nuka world on my (slow) recent playthroughs yet to check there.

That's definitely not normal. It appears that something is messing with the default ground texture in your game, based on what I see on your screenshot. It could also be another texture but it looks more like the default ground based on the assets. Does this happen throughout the whole game or just in specific areas? If I was you I would check if one of your mods is messing with the default ground.

It not everywhere but in many areas.

I have vivid fallout and extra trees but it predates that.

All other mods i had that would change ground ( like a winter mod and a grass mod) are no longer active
