Skyrim Real World

Sorry for the english...

For me, Skyrim is the best game ever made, i love all of the history, mechanics and of course the mods for this game, but sometimes is boring to play with too much fantasy and discover a monster in every corner.

Sometimes you just want to feel alone in the wild, camping, hunting or being a soldier fighting in the civil war, a bandit attacking caravans or a merchant with your bodyguards protecting your goods or many other possibilities, without discover some troll or giant walking freely in the wilderness.

I would like to see a mod someday with the changes below:

- No magic in any form;

- No race powers (only natural resistances);

- No fantasy monsters;

- Only humans (Nords, Bretons, Redguards and Imperials);

- For weapons and armors, only materials that exists on Earth like iron, steel, hide, fur and leather;

- Civil war as the main quest, and each side starts the game controlling half of Skyrim;

This is just a few sugestions that i made, but a lot more could be made to make a real world Skyrim.

I think many people would like to see this type of mod.

Would be a Middle Age Simulator, then?

getting rid of magic would have the nice side effect of being able to focus on a *real* combat simulator without the need to take in account all the various schools of the arcane and how they could be exploited.

as for the smithing, I think I saw something like that a while ago, but can´t remember the name.

Umm... Removing dragons alone would be more work than most people would bother with. The shear amount of time required to remove everything from the game, not to mention the UI edits, and that a good portion of Skyrim's features run based off magic...

While yes, it would be interesting, I don't think it would be possible. The creation kit does not give us enough freedom to edit out enough things.

Maybe dragons could simply remain disabled as well as the entire Dragonborn quest line, and the game could focus on the civil war plot? It could be reduced to a civil war game, but the holes in the game would be miles wide.

I think it's a possible mod, if things are selectively disabled or replaced with real-world variants. Though it would take more time and effort than I'd be willing to invest.

Though the amount of NPC dialogue referring to dragons would still be absurd and kind of difficult to ignore.

I was working on an alternate Skyrim (alternate dimension) mod, and was informed that one member here on the Nexus is working to create an alternate Skyrim worldspace. It would be FAR easier to scrub the alternate worldspace clean of all magical items, books, characters, etc. BECAUSE their is only terrain and buildings. That way, you can add who you want, what you want, how you want. It would also be advisable then to have a region-wide 'spell' that drains or negates mana and shouts.

Still, I have to think that a magicless world would be dull. It is because our own world can be dull that we seek out adventure, fantasy, and sci fi, right?
