ok so I just got back into Skyrim and im a very experienced Modder so I know my way around the game and its files and how to fix problems but I need a little help with something. when using any ENB I cannot change any of the enb settings in game at all. when I try to click on the check marks or tabs they just recheck or close. the only time I can mess with the enb settings is during a loading screen. im at a complete loss. I have a 7970 with the latest driver and im using the latest enb from the enb site. please if anyone can help...

I'm the opposite, very little experience but I'll give it a try.

Do the settings you're trying to change depend on weather or time of day? Maybe the game phases a new weather pattern or the day changes from daytime to sunset and your changes get force reset? I was messing with ENB and also had that issue but I'm easily discouraged and lazy so I just tried other settings so I have no idea how to actually solve the problem.

Try the console command 'set timescale to 1' for slower transitions.

Mind scratchin my back a little and checking out my little ENB problem please? http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1367098-enb-shadow-issue/

I've been having a similar issue the past few days and couldn't find a solution anywhere but I finally solved it so I want to share wherever I can. So, my issue was that while in game I could open the enb GUI and uncheck the various [EFFECTS] and this would change the game like normal BUT if I tried changing the values in any other section of the enb GUI or enbseries.ini (like, for example, increasing bloom or ambient lighting or fire intensity, etc. etc.) this would have NO effect on the look of the game. Everything would stay exactly the same. This is something that had been working fine for me for months and I swear I didn't change anything overnight but it was definitely a problem and after several hours of checking everything I could think of including reinstalling Skyrim completely I finally found the culprit.

I deleted enbhelper.dll from the enbseries folder.

Problem solved. No idea why. Like I said, it worked fine for months but this 100% fixed my problem and if I add enbhelper.dll back to the enbseries folder the problem starts again. I tried redownloading enbhelper.dll but still didn't work. Can't use it. Give this a shot, hopefully it will work for you too.

without Enbhelper.dll a lot of the ENB stuff will not work, DOF...ect.

Anyway....

When in the settings menu for ENB [shift]+[enter] you will notice in the upper box you have a few choices.....umm

"Some changes require reloading (apply button)

1) <<<<<<<<Apply changes>>>>>>>>

2) load configuration

3) save configuration

The boxes next to these never get a check-mark.

When you make changes you have to first "Save the configuration" then "Apply the configuration."

How to make this make sense....OK lets start at the HDD (Hard Drive) you already have the INI file ......Load it in (2) make changes and hit apply. well nothing happened because the only thing ENB can do is read from the ini file , making changes in the GUI without writing them to the INI gets lost.

SO we try again.....

2) Load Configuration...then make changes.....(we only load it in for this discussion it is already loaded) but can be useful if you get lost, and want to start editing over before saving changes)

3) save.....

1) NOW click Apply and you will see that Skyrim goes unresponsive for a few seconds and your changes will be noticed.

Hope that was clear.

I realize this is about a year late, but if you have a program such as Raptr (game recording/tracking app for AMD) running in the background, it will mess up your ability to click things in the ENB menu, don't know why, just does. Soon as I disabled it I was able to click through each option in the gui etc. Hope this helps.

Decided to give ENB a try again and ran into the in-game GUI problem. But this ^. This solved my problem. Thank you, my good sir.
