Tulsa299
I've been getting a lot of migraines lately and doing some research it seems a lot of gamers don't address things such as posture, diet and breaks. So I'm posting this to make some folk aware and to ask people to post their techniques on avoiding these problems. I'm a coffee and nicotine addict so I've started drinking water whilst gaming and only smoke when I'm having a break from my beloved skyrim.. also I've changed from lounging on the couch to sit in a chair, with arm rests, where I can sit up straight. Smoking is bad m'kay? Does anyone else have any insight to this? Edit: Also check out f.lux, it's a great piece of software http://justgetflux.com/ for when you're out of skyrim. Skyrabbit
Get a couple of cats! I rarely get to play for more than 45 mins before one of mine sits between me and the monitor and demands attention. :verymad:

Sdesser
Coffeine addict.. Check. Nicotine addict.. I quit using snus. So not anymore.Exercise? Proper diet? Never heard of those. I'm a Information Processing Science University student with a burning passion towards gaming and computers in general. 12 hours in front of the PC per day is pretty common and I'd say the median. Trick is to learn how to relax while you're on the PC. Good chair and PC desk are absolute musts. Big enough chair so that I can change my pose in it, is what keeps me from getting any major health problems, I'd bet. And of course: Practice makes perfect! Gamer for 18 years (I'm 23) and a hardcore gamer for 11 years. You kinda get used to it. I still get stiff necks every now and then (the source of headaches for me), but with some stretching and self massaging techniques I can get rid of them quite easily, if not, just pop a painkiller to take the edge off and then stretch / massage and BOOM, I'm all good again. Aanyways. Clock's ticking and I gotta rush to a lecture. Good luck :)
