wootwoot55
So I made a .dds texture in photoshop using the nvidia texture tools plugin by just saving the texture i painted in photoshop as a .dds. However I'M not sure how to save out the normal map i made i tried saving it under the file extension .n_dds and applying it in nifskope but its not showing any change in the model. Any help much appreciated how to properally save out a normal map thanks.
Zaerosz
Normal maps aren't saved with their own file format, they're just .dds files. The _n comes before the ., and is just used by Bethesda devs (and, by extension, modders) to remind them that that file is indeed a normal map. wootwoot55
Your right I was looking at the file extension wrong XP. The normal map still isn't showing up though in nifskope 1.1.0-rc4 I'm gonna try loading it in a different 3d program to see if it shows up Or just plop it in the creation kit to see if it shows up there.
