I don't really know what you have in mind, but if you could give the amour, at least the metal part of it a ...well, a more metal look, I think it would look better.
I only just reached a stopping point on the model work (I can't tweak forever)...normal maps, glow maps and the diffuse map are next on the hacking block. I'm not sure about the effect of the heavy armor vs the light armor (reflective metal) and have not decided if I will keep the dull look of the heavy armor. Initially, I wanted it to just look different than the light set but I think there are enough modeling differences that you won't be mistaking the which armor piece is light or heavy. ;)

When I reach a point with the textures, I will pop out some more comparison pictures...probably even create a poll to let the community decide which "look" I will use.

You'll know when the look of the armor has been finalized when you start seeing the multi-colored armors cropping up...cause I don't want to move to the next phase until the prior phase is complete!!! Too much to re-do if I have to fix something down the line after all the alternates are created.

EDIT 3/18/2010:

Created menu icon templates for all the weapons. I also did it using just Paint.NET in order to create an additional tutorial using that tool.

The poll idea could be a good one, but you should be the one that decides what goes where. Anyway I am eager to see more pictures with the armour, so I'll be around Keep up the good work!

These shields are the 1st assets of the mod that I am marking off as 100% completed. The shield models, textures, normal and glow maps have been finished to my liking and are primed to be replicated to the various other colors.

At the last moment, I added an extra goodie to the heavy shield. ;)

Every time I looked at screenshots of the armor, I kept hating on the greaves because they just didn't quite "match" the rest of the armor look. Well, now I'm finally happy with it.

Working on the normal map tweaks now and expect to be done with the greaves textures in about 2 more hours worth of work. (yes, I'm slow...I like check my work over and over especially when I'm about to flag an item as completed and never go back to it)

I've fallen in love - and in 1 question

I knwo this is supposed to be Morrowind's glass armor, but would you allow me to do a retex once it's finished? I'll let you upload it if you wanna, and don't need credit or anything ;]

Well, it is not designed to be an exact replica of Morrowind Glass armor...more "inspired by" than anything else. I've had the actual Morrowind version in Oblivion and I don't think anyone REALLY wants that version. The original just looks too low-poly for Oblivion.

I'm going off on a tangent here....back to your question. Yes, when released, the permissions will be such that will allow further modifications.

Awesomeness!

Muhahaha... The world shall fear arcane runes and shappire detailes....

Lol, sorry, the heat here is very disturbing and I can't act normal - Sithis is trying to toast all Dutchmen

I created several status charts on my forum WIP thread to help me keep track of what's next to work on since I'm starting to mark off many items as being complete...thought ya'll might want to see as well. Question marks just mean I have not confirmed since I created the chart mostly from memory.

EDIT 7/18/2010

- Armor diffuse textures completed.

- Armor color variations completed.

- Armor specular maps completed.

- Armor normal maps completed.

- Armor glow maps completed.

This is what the armor looks like in the blue variation:

EDIT 8/8/2010

- All armor textures, menu items and color variants are completed. This means that the status chart for all file assets related to the armor are 100% done!

- Added almost all armor assets to the plugin (just lacking the entries for the enchanted heavy armors...dang, this is so mind numbing)

EDIT 8/10/2010

- Bow model, arrow and quiver in progress:
