I need some help with Oblivion and OOO

Hello! I have had a ton of fun modding Skyrim after finally getting it on PC a few months ago, but since I have played it on PS3 so much, and have not played Oblivion, I finally purchased it on PC and want to install a few mods before starting. OOO being one of those.

I just have one big question, how do I install it? Can someone write me a step by step guide? I have found several online but they are incredibly cryptic and I have no idea what to do... It does not seem like I can just activate the main file in NMM and be done with it? What the heck is an OMOD?

Please, help me! :P

Thanks.

Mods can be installed manually (you need to copy the content in oblivion's data folder and activate the plugin) or by omod package (autoinstaller). A third way is using wrye bash software. The best way to manage mods in oblivion is use obmm (oblivion mod manager) not nmm (nexus mod manager - better for skyrim). You can copy the omod package into the mods folder into obmm install folder, then open obmm and tell it to activate the omod. Done.

Thanks! Since I wrote that post I have figured out what omods are and have installed several other mods using them. Your post cleared up the OOO situation though, it makes sense now. Thanks again!
