I've encountered a pretty annoying glitch during the quest 'Take it Back' I get to a point right after Liberty Prime has crossed the bridge and met the next barrier at the underpass, but for some reason unknown to me the electronic barrier appears to be invisible; the generators themselves are visible, but the actual barrier itself is not, but it still prevents me or any other NPCs from proceeding and Liberty Prime wont interact with it.

 

Also i.ve noticed a few of Liberty Primes animations dont seem to be playing correctly, (for example when he picks up a mini nuke from his back it seems to stop half way through, and he doesnt raise his arms when destroying the barriers).

 

I have a lot of mods installed so i suspect it may have something to do with my load order, but skimming through the list i cant see anything that jumps out at me that might be causing both these problems.

 

If anyone has any idea i would be very grateful, and im more then happy to post my load order if that will help.

uncheck broken steel and any mods that point to it , run the game till Prime has passed that point. you will lose data if you do this, but you will find out what mods are involved. BS is always to blame. it is really Broken. if you hard save after he completes his mission, you only need Broken steel to run at the PP interior point before activating the purifier. that is where you hard save and exit and reinstall. recheck the mos left unchecked.

go back into the game an wait till the game updates and tells you steel is now loaded, , you may need to leave the building to do that.

 

a lot of mods cause bugs to show up during events, some times it's just a bad corrupted piece of data in a mod. Not necessarily the mod it's self.

 

Fallout 3 is very Buggy.

Thanks alot for the response man, luckily the problem seemed to sort itself, it took alot of saving and loading but eventually liberty prime seemed to get his sh*&t together and started acting like a massive killer robot should and it worked out fine. But i'll keep that solution in mind if i run into any other bugs of that kind.
