max import/export creates extra vertices

Hey there!

So when I modify anything in 3ds max (I use 2012 x64 and the latest max importer exporter I could find on the nexus) I have the correct number of vertices so it should work with any weight but after I export it and import it back again it has like at least a hundred more vertices. Why is that? Also if there is alredy a topic about this please inform me and I'll delete this one.
