Dhegonus
a full re-installation must work, logically speaking. When you fully uninstall the game, do you clean your registry and empty your recycle bin and delete any left over files?
Ghostlyhawk
no. should i? i dont ever want to delete my substantial mod collection- it took hours to download all of those!
Rennn
When you uninstall Skyrim, you should also:1. Uninstall the Creation Kit2. Delete all the mods you had installed3. Delete your saves4. Delete your inis5. Delete leftover files inside your Skyrim folder I suggest, in the future, you do what I do.When you download a mod, store a copy of it in a special "Skyrim Mods" folder somewhere on your PC. That way if you break or uninstall Skyrim you don't have to find and re-download the mods again. In many cases you may also back up the official Skyrim .BSA files in the same way, so that re-downloading Skyrim from Steam takes less time. Dhegonus
if you download via nmm or even manually, they r not downloaded into your skyrim directory, the manual downloads go in the main download file of your computer and your nmm downloads are kept safe in the nmm directory. So if you uninstall skyrim, delete the directory, clean the computer using a program such as CCleaner and then clean the registry, all your downloads will be safe, just a matter of installing the game then re-installing the mods.
