Skyrim private server LAN mod idea: would it be possible?

I have always loved Skyrim, and all the craziness...well, maybe not all of it. Skyrim modding has got to be some of the craziest I have seen for games, but I wanted it to be a little more interactive in a way. I already know that Skyrim has an online mod, but I thought, why have an online mod in which I have to use a seperate service for it to work on a generalized server that someone else hosts?

I personally loved the idea of online skyrim, but I personally don't have enough bandwidth to play online. I have plenty of friends that I know who would love to play, but it will never happen as I will always get kicked because I lag out. So I figure, for those that don't want to use an internet service and instead want to use their rigs as a server for a LAN of their own friends (virtual LAN would be supported), why not do that? grant it, it would be very small, like 5-6 characters max, or depending on your rig system specs would determine your player cap. can it be done or not? I am just curious, cause I spitball: I do not create content, so any input is appreciated.

Very unlikely to ever happen. Skyrim's engine isn't meant for multiplayer. Making it work requires a lot of hacky programming and external programs, and even then it's pretty much unplayable.

Anything is possible but this one happens to be very difficult. The most reasonable approach would be to hook actor data objects in skyrim's memory, send them to clients and force it on them, you could also use a supporting mod to spawn or destroy actors as needed to maintain the sync. The difficult bit is syncing animations and actions, It would require inimate knowledge of skyrims process execution and while it is possible to gain that by studying the memory, i doubt that anybody of the required caliber is willing to spend months pondering just for something that will probably turn out crappy anyway.

there are currently two versions of skyrim online worked on:

1. A mmorpg type of game, like the elder scrolls online.

2. Skyrim to play with friends on servers you build, if you want to play just you and one or two of your friends this is the one you want.

but neither of them are even close to being complete, i think that in the second one you can play online with who ever you want but its extremely buggy (i thinkg) and the armor and animations wont show.

and to the guy who said its not possible, your wrong, it is possible but extremely difficult and takes lots of time. take for example "Just Cause 2" it had no internet connections at all but people worked on a mod for that and now its out on steam, it will happen to skyrim too, but it will take time.
