  1. 1. Would you be interested in a review of the Files of the Month? Even if the review is only posted here, in the Forums?

    • Sure, why not.

Greetings, women and wyverns.

Back in the delightfully chilly month of February, I attempted to bring forth a sort of review here in the Forums. I'm not necessarily sure if anyone even read it, but the one comment I received was definitely not a string of insults. So that's a plus.

The review thingamabob I attempted to bring forth was called Mods of the Month with Pellinore (catchy title, aye?), a terrifyingly biased and grammatically incorrect review article whatsit where I gave my (sometimes) honest thoughts on the previous “Files of the Month”. I quite enjoyed writing the article and I certainly hope that at least one mortal (or immortal, I'm not racist) enjoyed it as well.

When it came time to produce March's MOTMwPellinore (Mods of the Month with Pellinore), I was...hesitant. After all, only one person expressed their enjoyment via comment, and that person was someone who I knew beforehand (thanks a thousand for the comment, Kaiya). So it got my mind thinking: what if nobody cares if I continue this? I could work my arse for a good week or so, getting mods to function properly and attempt to sprinkle a bit of the ol' Pellinore charm everywhere, and it might not even matter.

Who knows. Maybe I'm overthinking this. I just want your opinion on whether I should continue MOTMwPellinore or not. It's your call, really. Or ignore this topic and continue about your lives. That's an option, too.

You should make a blog review or vlog on YouTube if you really want an audience. The problem with using the forums as a review post area is that it gets buried. Then you can post links in the Skyrim Nexus News area for your reviews. That's how other reviewers do stuff.

No, I like reviews but if its going to be files of the month, then No, there's already mxr and mod sanctuary and a bunch of other people doing reviews of all the top files.

I'd prefer if you dig up some hidden gems and review those for us.

^ ^ I agree with this sentiment.

There are a lot of good mods that go unnoticed, and get buried beneath "Hot and revealing completely un-lore-friendly cloth/underwear set mod" or "Make all female followers look freakishly young/anime like mod" I'm not saying that all top mods are this, but a disappointingly high number are. (at least IMHO)
