I have found a way to use a Xbox 360 Gamepad for Morrowind on many blogs. It is not the same as on Xbox. To activate things in menus press RT. And you will only get 3 quick keys. If you like the Oblivion controls better use Morrowblivion but if you like the Morrowind controls better use Morrowind.

Controls

Here are the controls for each one. It will first say the controller button, then the action, then the keyboard button so if you want to customise your controls in options you can use this list.

Morrowind

A-Activate-Spacebar

B-Menu-Right Click

X-Ready Weapon-F

Y-Ready Magic-R

RB-Rest-T

LB-Journal-J

RT-Use-Left Click

LT-Jump-E

Start-Pause-Esc

Back-Quick Key Menu-F1

D-pad Up-Toggle Run-Caps Lock

D-pad Left-Quickkey 1-1

D-pad Down-Quickkey 2-2

D-pad Right-Quickey 3-3

Left Joystick-Sneak-Ctrl

Right Joystick-Toggle POV-Tab

Morrowblivion

A-Activate-Spacebar

B-Menu-Right Click

X-Ready Weapon-F

Y-Jump-E

RB-Ready Magic-R

LB-Journal-J

RT-Use-Left Click

LT-Jump-E

Start-Pause-Esc

Back-Rest/Quick Key Menu-T, F1

D-pad Up-Toggle Run-Caps Lock

D-pad Left-Hotkey 1-1

D-pad Down-Hotkey 2-2

D-pad Right-Hotkey 3-3

Left Joystick-Sneak-Ctrl

Right Joystick-Togle POV-Tab

Requirements

Morrowind

Wired Xbox 360 Gamepad (PC Version)

Install the software that comes with your controller first. Then go into to Bethesda Softworks/Morrowind and open the Morrowind configuration. Scroll down until you find

Joystick Look Up/Down=6

Joystick Look Left/Right=3

Change it to

Joystick Look Up/Down=0

Joystick Look Left/Right=0

Then download JoyToKey and ControlMK. Then download the files here and put the cfg. file in the JoyToKey folder. Then install ControlMK and put the pro. file into the ControlMK folder.

Then run ControlMK. In ControlMK select the Xbox 360 gamepad in Controllers Found, Then in activate controllers select the Xbox 360 Gamepad. Then it should say under it Morrowind/Morrowblivion. If not select profiles and then select Morrowind/Morrowblivion. Then run JoyToKey and you should see Morrowind or Morrowblivion on the right side of the window. Click on it.

You may need to Adjust the Vertical and Horizontal Sensitivity in Morrowind options.

Works great except for one problem. It seems you got two buttons mixed. When you try to walk to it actually just keeps walking. It never stops unless you walk back or strafe. Is there anyway to fix that? Also I can not find the key to attack with weapon. What key is that.

To attack use the left trigger. But to toggle run press up on the D-pad. And what config. are you using Morrowind or Morrowblivion?

Morrowblivion. Well I have the problem. I know how to run. Just that when I run forward and release I still keep running. I believe you have mistaken the auto run with forward.

Hey, I use an external program called Xpadder. It is cheap (like $10 if I remember) and very effective. You can program your buttons to any key(s), including multiple keys for each button (some keys only work in menu, vice versa). I hope that an admin doesn't think I'm trying to make an advertisement, if this is out of line then I understand it would be my first strike. But the program is awesome and worth a strike to mention. I use it for all my games now, even magic the gathering online. It operates by identifying your controller as a keyboard/mouse. I use my gamepad as a mouse a lot of the time, even out of game. You must disable gamepad/joystick functions if you wish to use this however, as it is read as a mouse/keyboard but the controller is also recognized by the game, which tries to place its functions there as well, causing chaos. Just thought I'd share a cool program that I can't live without now.
