EVGA GeForce GTX 760 4 Gb General Expectations

To anyone, please help

I just recently purchased and installed my new EVGA GeForce GTX 760 4 Gb last night ( Thursday May 22, ). Installation was fast and easy. My previous graphics card was a boring EVGA GeForce GTX 560 2 Gb. My question to you guys is: Why on earth am I getting only between 22-28 frames per second (fps) with the enb's? When I was using my GTX 560 2 Gb, I was getting between 17-25 (fps). It makes no sense to me. I don't even have Skyrim Flora Overhaul installed (SFO) Smh I spoke with Hodilton a month or so ago about his graphics card and he told me, he has a GTX 670 2 Gb. His videos are super smooth. He said he was getting around 50 fps on average. He told me that having 4 Gb is more than enough.

Anyone have any ideas as to what I could be doing wrong?

have a look at this: http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/guides/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-tweak-guide#1

also, gt the nvidia control panel video thing, turn off all AA and special effects, let the ENB's do the work, for the most part, ENB's tend to be bettr anyway.

Use the Skyrim Configurator (download on te nexus) to tweak settings and add settings.

try those, if there is still an issue, well.. i am sure some one can help.

Thanks for the quick reply...but just now , I tried to get into the Nvidia control Panel application and it keeps crashing :pinch: How do I uninstall this thing so that I can re-install it?

Nvidia Application..like when you 'Right click Desktop" and pick...>>.""Nvidia Control Panel""? Thats crashing?

Make sure you have completely UNinstalled your previous drivers. Do a Safe mode cleaning, then when windows loads with NO video driver installed (640 x 480) . get the latest driver for your card.

Just so its said, i can uncork my Nvidia 580's and get 144 FPS, (389 FPS in menus) SO it is easy to get high FPS. Takes an INI edit. (and Nvidia Inspector).<<< ( but don't play with anything over 60 FPS)

But first get Nvida running without crashes. Benchmark that card also , so you know its ("burned in)...lol

Installation was fast and easy <<<<from your first post<<<

IF you did an in-place update to the Video drivers without an Uninstall, wipe in safe mode , that is the problem.

I'm having the same problem as the OP; same graphics card, but performance is pretty lackluster. I have a bunch of mods installed, but none of them should affect performance that much, if at all. Crucially, I don't have any performance enhancing mods. Yet my fps fluctuate way more than it should. I don't have a way of measuring my fps, but I've capped it at 30. Regardless, it quite regularly dips to 7-8 fps (I'm guessing). Sometimes i'll even get <1 fps for about 30 seconds, then jumping back up to its normal level for no apparent reason. I've tried lowering the graphics settings as much as I can bear to look at, and I've even had to lower the game resolution to 720p (pretty ugly with such a big monitor), yet still nothing changes. These fps dips happen seemingly at random, sometimes happening during loading screens and with open menus. I fear I may have to start removing some mods if things don't improve...
