Murkrow900
Hello guys, I've recently made a comeback to Skyrim & Modding and therefor I updated most of my mods and got rid of outdated/bad ones. But right now I can play like 2-4 hours (sometimes more and sometimes less I guess, It's hard to keep track) and then I will get a random CTD if I load a save(although I can load it quite a few times before it crashes and as I said, VERY random). So my question to you guys is if there's anything fishy about my INI/memory patch/load-order that could be the cause of these random CTD's or just anything else in there that you think is unstable. Please point out as detailed as possible and tell me specifically what to do. Best regards, a grateful Murkrow! PS, if you doubt my word about paying for your work/help then please go to http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/user/8933077-ball11/ and ask him if I'm legit, paid him for helping me several times without problems. And we're talking a 15-25€ game here, so not just some crappy 1€ bin game. madcow12
If it is a mod conflict you can tell because there will be CTDs at specific places/moments/timesIf it's a problem with lack of memory, you wouldn't last 2 hours (i used to run on a 32bit and i remember having CTD almost like clockwork every hour or so and so i'd have to restart)I believe you started a new game after updating all of them. What i found with my rig was that after 4 hours of playing, I would either get random CTD or meshes would start turning purple and so on from running 254 mods. It must really stresses the system. Not knowing your specs, I'd say that's about when the computer is tired of running all them mods and stuff. just take it in a good way, stretch, relax your eyes, grab a coffee, go walk a bit, and realize that tamriel isn't really that far away
Murkrow900
I just updated with specs, and yeh that sounds like me alright. Because if I don't CTD I could get grass turning black or some random stuff like that. Like this http://i.imgur.com/MAavHhg.jpg . But I'm here for a reason, I kinda want it fixed so I can play :(. And I get plenty of time outside & what not when my girlfriends around so I wouldn't worry about that. When I wanna play, I play. And then I don't want Skyrim going all rogue on me, so answers are appreciated. Edited May 25, 2014 by Murkrow900

madcow12
I know I hate it when it does that for me too . But then restarting only takes two minutes or so and with the graphics going heywire, yea it's just easier to restart the game every now and thenI'm not sure how to fix this...have you: 1. optimized texture using ddsopt or optimizer texture?2. no background programs running?3. Try increasing the UpdateTimeMS, Update and ExtraTasklet budgets for Papyrus in Skyrim.ini but not the other settings What i'm learning more and more is more does not mean better with skyrim. i might suggest merging plugins but i don't think it'll help...(but then it also means you are running fewer ESPs so i don't know)try to reduce or use mods that give minimal pressure to the game, maybe that will help. I've spewed out as much as i know, take it with a bucket of salt as the tips go regarding internet advices, and if have room i would like to gently request you try out my mod in the meantime  (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/54277/?) Murkrow900
Just crashed, and this time it took me like 30-40 minutes :(. Currently tried to exit from the hole at the end of the " haltered stream camp " and fast travel to the nearby guard tower. Please, I'm clueless. Sorry, but might be a stupid question hehe. But what's an UpdateTimeMS? Or ExtraTasklet Budget? I'll try it out once this is solved, looks neat & a cool concept :-). But right now, I need help. Right now , I would be very happy if I could play 4 hours without problem. My Payyrus log 0 http://pastebin.com/jP0W10Yw PS, my PC has been on for roughly 13 hours or so now but I have an extremely good fan so it isn't even slightly warm. hunterrock
hello bud, a few things from you load order: sneak tools is included in skyre, you don't need it.reproccer comes AFTER bashed patch. This is important. look up LOOT on google and use it to sort your plugins, this is very important you haven't done this by the look of it. SkyRe is hard to get to play well with loads of mods running scripts. I found that the combat and enemy AI modules made me CTD. I made the switch to SPERG or ACE with far less crashes, now I just use Requiem as it is brillant! SkyRe is great too but I found that with script heavy mods, it can be unstable. You DO need to start over, your papyrus log is fudged and it is pretty much non recoverable, here are mods that you have that are very script intensive. You need to cut down on these: SkyRe combat/AIWet and Cold (You ca use the MCM to turn off various script intensive features)Headtracking Enhanced Blood textures You do not need Climtes of Tamriel dungeons with ELFX EnhancerYou also do not need all four weather patchs for darker nights, you just need one.. they are options. I hope this helps!! Try using a guide from STEP. If you like I can send you my load order although I use Requiem. Don't send me anything, I have enough games haha
Lord Garon
I would have left SSME at recommended settings. Unless you've SEEN block 2 exceeding 480-490MB or so (logs or memory viewer), you're just taking that 256MB away from the game. And, notice the CTD warning at just a bit higher setting than you have. I think the Post Reproccer Immersive Armor patch goes after (below) the Reproccer.esp. Doubtful either would stop your random CTD's on their own, but heavily modding Skyrim is a game of little things adding up. That means that cleaning mods in TES5EDIT and generally resolving any BOSS messages is a good idea. I didn't see that mentioned above. Full vram can cause sudden black textures, though I've rarely actually seen a 3GB card fill up. Make sure you don't have any settings duplicated in the launcher OPTIONS settings and Nvidia control panel (AA). Supersampling is also a hog, you could try another method if you have that enabled. If you have a lot of HD texture packs/replacers not reflected in your load list, try a lite or lower res version and see if the black textures go away. Not interested in any reward, more interested in knowing if anything helps your issue.
dennis20014
A small tip from me, and people may or may not argue that you need it, but I have found that the bashed patch has always given me more problems than helped. Even when doing it right. But I guess it's a YMMV type of thing Edited May 25, 2014 by dennis20014
Murkrow900
So much to take in and I'm very easily confused so not really sure where to start :[. But I were told to swap from LOOT to using BOSS so now I'm even more confused what to use :/. What makes LOOT superior to boss? And the rotation is LOOT/TES5Edit to find incompatibilities/sort them manually/wrye/sum.jar, right? Also, can I still keep using SkyRe but just disable the combat/AI mod? And what's SPERG/ACE and how do they work and what makes them stand out and more reliable? Also, how does one cut down on using a mod like headtracking/enhanced blood/wet & cold? I love them all and I haven't read about any problems with them before, is there a lite version or? Best regards, Otto.
