voxoono
Hello, I am currently experiencing random crashes that seem to be unpredictable in nature. I watched gopher's videos about how to use Loot and Tes5edit to clean dirty modsto get a more stable game. So I tried to clean my mods and things looked promisingbut the game kept on crashing. I made it so that I wouldn't get any "Warning"messages from Loot. I am sure I can run Skyrim with my hardware which narrows it down to frustrating small details in mods that seem to make my game crash. To give you some idea, the main mods I am trying to play with are 2K Textures, SMIM, and SkyRe. Thank you for any helpful advice.
backoff521
Check this out and also read this:"Texture packs This is HUGE. Skyrim is a 32bit program which means it can only hold 3.5-4.0GB of RAM NO MATTER WHAT. Even if your computer has 100GB of RAM Skyrim can only use 3.5-4.0GB of it. If you exceed this, Skyrim will have infinite loading screens, random CTD's, random freezing, etc... Do you have a lot of high quality textures? Armor packs, UNP/body mods, ground textures, added buildings, added NPC's, water textures, etc... You may be overloading your memory/game. Try uninstalling some and see if this improves (alternative below). Try cutting back on building textures, water textures and rock textures. Also, if you have the free DLC for textures, disable it. It causes more problems than it is worth because of this issue in my opinion.Reducing the size of textures is CRUCIAL. Mods like Water give an optional file for reduced texture size. These texture are still better than Vanilla Skyrim so I would recommend using those options ANY TIME you see them. Bringing the textures down will reduce CTDs and even boost overall performance with hardly any noticable visuals lost in my opinion. Especially with so many ENB's/lighting mods to make up for the texture being a little smaller." This is a quote from hereHope these can helpEDIT: I also use both 2K Textures and SMIM. I think it's not possible get rid of CTDs completely. Sometimes I can play for hours without CTD and sometimes it happens after 15 minutes of playing.
