driowa
Ok, I posted on here a while ago about my CTD with mods, but no one seemed interested in helping me so I fended for myself. I unistalled every mod I had on and reset the skyrim.ini by deleting and checking cache through steam. But It still crashes as soon as the game tells me to look around with right stick. I have managed to get further but it still crashes before I even get out of the carriage. As far as I know I have completely reset my skyrim to vanilla with no mods, I do have the high res texture pack dlc but I can't imagine that being the problem. Really hoping I dont have to reinstall the game because that is going to take a while on my crappy internet. If ANYONE thinks they can help please comment, im stuck and getting really frustrated. driowa
Processor AMD FX 4350 Quad-Core Processor 4.21GHz Memory 8.00 GB (3.42 GB usable) Motherboard Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 (5590 MB) I don't think this is the problem. I've always been able to run Skyrim on ultra before. My graphics card has 4 gb of video memory so those highres files shouldn't be a problem. Could it be RAM? 8gb has always worked for me. also my processor is water cooled. I'm fairly certain this a a file or line of code issue but i'll try anything. ripple
Is your OS 32 or 64 bit? Follow this guide up to step 13 to ensure you have reverted to a vanilla installation. If you are still CTDing after that, try disabling the hi-res texture DLC plugins and test to see if you can get past the intro sequence.
