Of all the websites targeted toward Skyrim players, what is it you would like to see that's missing? This can be anything. Consider this a brainstorming session. Get creative, get silly, but I am interested in community feedback.

Much more leeway for mod authors. They should be allowed to swear, talk s#*!, harass, be rude and bully users.

Alot less tolerance for stupid users who are retarded, lazy, stupid and ask dumb f*#@in questions.

If a question is asked that is already in a sticky/read me or fairly easy to find your banned for a week.

Mod authors make a community.

Users are infinite and will come if the mod authors are their.

Woah, that's not a way to build proper community, but to just vent your stress on other users. Sites like this should be an environment where moders can work in peace and interact with other users on appropriate level. Those infinite and disposable users you talk about are also the ones responsible for mental and physical support for moders. They give their endorsement, write new ideas, upload screenshots, youtube clips, blog entries, playtest mods, post feedback and in many cases give a hand to others with troubleshooting, so the author doesn't have to. Few warm words can make a difference.

I agree that from time to time you get to see black sheeps, but nexus staff is dealing with them pretty effectively. Sometimes even the best one can miss something in the sticky or readme, not to mention the newbies don't have a clue what they are looking for and need a little help from the veterans. There is no need to ban every single person for asking simple question and creating more bad blood in the effect. Not to mention that I have seen a ton of not well organized stickies and misleading readme files.

As for the topic, I would like to address the above issue. It would make a lot more sense to divide general discussion/feedback and troubleshooting thread on the main page. User should be prompted to select one or the other upon clicking on tab. Some moders create more than one thread for their mods, but most don't and the option is not highlighted. Also posting mod requirements and notes only in the sticky is not the cleanest way to do it. We are missing

support on main page, it works only when viewing thread on the forum. Interactive table of content together with working spoilers could solve half of the problems. If only users could have access to special FAQ section where they could edit content like on Wiki and link posts with answers, that would be great. Moder should be able to restrict users privileges to friendlist or selected few.

There is for sure a lot more that can be improved, that I can't think of right now. However right now it's not that bad with tools and community that we have and we should appreciate it

Thank you very much BlackRose, now that's the kind of positive response I'm hoping I'll hear more of. I am going somewhere with this topic. Actually I'm coding something because I want to give something back to the community. I'm no modder, and don't plan on becoming one. But what I do know is web development. Actually it's what I do for a living. Your ideas are shall we say "Well met", hahaha, and I'll do something with them.

Haha, I'm glad to hear that. I didn't had a slightest idea what your profession was, but somehow I managed to nail it

A showcase for minor mods such as changing the hot file section to new file section perhaps? true, if it's a catchy mod people will come to it anyways, but sometimes because of the abundant number of mods, people just resort to the most famous. and brodual can't obviously cover everything out there, and the latest files is a bit too small to be noticeable.

Doesn't that serve the same purpose as the Latest Files section though? I can see your point though madcow. I didn't know of some of the most popular mods due how they are organized. Take the series, The Oblivion Realms Series. This is one of the most popular and most endorsed mods and rightfully so it's f*#@ing awesome, and I just found out about last week. So what I'm getting out of this is better mod categorization and organization. Check

Can you name any popular mod authors that post regularly or at some point haven't gone into hiding because of these "black sheep" users?

Arthmoor has closed down his USKP thread at one point, Boris has refused to answer any more questions on his ENBoost page, Apollodown is getting their too.

Want an example? Go to the Immersive Armors forum and check the last page of comments. Then check out the readme at the top and see how many of those questions are pointless.

Everyone has got the perspective of a user cause there all users who respond, ask a popular mod author.

If all garbage mods get posted what screenshots, articles and feedback would their be?

Track a few of the popular mods and see the constant flow of stupid questions.

The fact that people rarely come back to say "great mod" rather they post when there's a problem.
